Dear Parents,

We have had a busy half term. The children have really enjoyed learning about space and taking part in all the space themed activities. After half term our new topic will be Transport. If you have a photograph of your child on any mode of transport, please put it on Tapestry so that we can all look at it and have a discussion about it.

On Tuesday we went to Sportshall travelling there by coach which the children really enjoyed. They all participated with great enthusiasm in different activities like javelin, skittles and speed jump and had lots of fun.

Today the children had great fun at their chosen FLUFFY activities. They enjoyed trying new activities, getting to know different teachers and other children.

Phonics

Please continue to encourage your children to match the phonemes to the graphemes using the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds grapheme mat that we sent home last week. Practising the ‘Tricky words’ will also be helpful in helping the children become more secure in recognising them.
