JTLYK 6 December
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a busy week in Year 6!
The children have been working incredibly hard to put the final touches to their production of ‘A Christmas Carol’. We completed a full dress rehearsal on Wednesday and spent the day putting the finishing touches to the performance on Friday.
We look forward to seeing you next week at the matinee or evening performances!
Have a great weekend,
Danni, Jo, Kathryn, Julia, Catherine and Mark.
Art
This week, the children have explored the work of two contrasting artists – John Dyer and Nerys Levy. Through hands-on activities, they have practised mark-making, created gradients, and experimented with colour mixing. The children are now preparing to draft and paint their own interpretations of these artists' styles, in celebration of our autumn term topic, which has focused on both the Amazon Rainforest and Antarctica.
Homework
There will be no more homework given out after Friday 6th December, as we are aware the children will be busy putting all their energy into the Christmas play!
