JTLYK 6 September
Dear parents and carers,
We have been blown away by the children’s energy and positive attitude since their return to school. Everyone has been punctual, well presented and approached tasks with enthusiasm – we couldn’t ask for more!
This week we have learnt how to present our maths work clearly. In English, we have read and begun to learn the story ‘Mrs. Armitage on Wheels’ by Quentin Blake. We have drawn some fantastic self-portraits which are now displayed in the classrooms. We have done lots of practice of routines and have been setting an excellent example to the younger children.
Some helpful reminders and dates for your diaries:
- Swimming starts next week and will be on Tuesdays every week. Please make sure children come to school with their swimming kit.
- PE will be on a Monday. Children will be changing in school so please send them in with their kit in a bag and make sure they are wearing or bring their trainers.
- We are experiencing some very wet and changeable weather. Please make sure children come to school with a coat.
- Meet the team will be on Tuesday 17 September between 7 and 8pm.
There will be lots more information regarding further key dates and things such as reading books in due course.
