JTLYK 24 January
Dear Parents,
We have continued with our Space topic this week. The children have made moon buggies using K’nex, Meccano and junk modelling. Our science experiment this week was to discover how the craters on the moon are formed. We used flour, sprinkles and cocoa powder to create layers and dropped different sized stones, ‘moon rocks’ onto the surface. This allowed us to see the craters forming and observe the ejecta pattern created by the impact.
Phonics
This week we’ve learnt new phonemes (ur, ow, oi, ear). Please check Tapestry to see some short videos of these phonemes so that you can practise at home. Our new tricky words are: my, by, all.
Wild Place

Please send your child in with a warm coat, gloves, hat, scarf and thick socks for the wellies as it can be really cold at the Wild Place.
