JTLYK 29 November

In maths, the children have been using their knowledge of counting in 5s and 10s. They have revisited and consolidated this learning by focusing on multiples of 5 and 10 and the connections between them. The children should now recognise that a whole number is a multiple of 5 if the ones digit is either 5 or 0. Similarly, they should recognise that a whole number is a multiple of 10 if the ones digit is 0.

Have a go at the following question:

In English, the children published their fantastic facts about the red panda in their non-chronological reports. They have grasped how to structure their writing and present information effectively. In science, our topic is habitats and animal classification. The children have been learning about animals and the environments in which they live. This has supported them to write their non-chronological report in our English lessons.

Looking ahead, our school play this year is A Christmas Carol. As part of the performance, our children will be singing One More Sleep ‘til Christmas. For their part, they will need to wear pyjamas, so please have these ready closer to the event. We have begun practising the songs, and the children are already getting excited about being part of the show. We will send the lyrics to the songs home with them too.

Thank you for your continued support!
