JTLYK 18 October
Dear Parents/Carers,
We have had a wonderful and busy week in Year 3. The week ended with FLUFFY Friday, which was the first one the Year 3s have participated in at the juniors. They all had a fantastic day filled with art, crafts, and sports.
In Science this week, we have been learning about the skeleton and the names of the key bones in the body. See how many your child can remember!
In English, we have been learning about letter writing. The children wrote letters to an imaginary class, telling them about a new student who has a pink shadow and wears dresses. They have written beautifully about the importance of acceptance and kindness.
Spellings
The spellings which have been sent home for practising have been put in the back of your child’s book. We have included some extra challenge questions which you may choose to practise too. These words all have the /i/ phoneme in them, as in ‘split’:
consider, different, difficult, bicycle, busy, average, signature, language |
