JTLYK 13 September

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another great week in year 5!

In history, we have learned about who the Vikings were and enjoyed looking at artefacts found in Britain from circa 900AD. Children discussed what these objects were, how the Vikings may have used them and what they told us about how they lived.

In maths, we continued looking at place value and practised counting in powers of 10. Why not ask your child if they can explain how to count up or down in steps of 10/100/1000?

It was lovely to see so many of you at the ‘Meet the Team’ evening on Thursday. If you missed it, there is a second slide with all of the important information. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

WE WOULD LOVE SOME VOLUNTEERS FOR BUDDY MORNING (Thursday 19th September) – Please do let your child’s teacher know if you are able to help. Thank you.

Have a great weekend!
