Year 2 visit to St Paul’s, Friday 14 November

Please arrive promptly at 8.40am next Friday as we will be leaving at 9.00am. Children should come to school in smart school uniform with a coat and their packed lunch and drink. Please don’t bring any extra hats, scarves or gloves.

Operation Christmas Child
This year we are again supporting Operation Christmas Child whose mission is to send filled shoeboxes to children in need overseas, and you should already have received a leaflet in your child’s book bag. Mike Roberts also came to talk to the children in assembly on Monday. This year the boxes we collect will be sent to Kyrgyzstan and we hope to send as many as possible. The deadline for boxes to be received in school is Friday 14 November. We do have a few spare shoe boxes in the office as well as extra leaflets.

Home School Link Worker group

There will be a group for parents or carers who find their children’s behaviour challenging. The group will run on Monday mornings on 17th, 24th November and the 1st December from 9-10:30am. Tea and coffee will be available beforehand in the staffroom. The group will be supported by me but the group will decide which direction we will go in. If you would like to join the group please contact me in person or by e-mail on lucyc@holytrinity.surrey.sch.uk. Lucy Cray, Home School Link Worker

There is also a card in the office if you would like to contribute to his leaving present.

FOPS

An Amazing Start - Thank You!
Thank you for your support of recent events and fundraising initiatives:

We are delighted to announce that we have met our £500 target for the Pewley Book Drive. This will be added to the £1,500 FOPS has committed to buying books. If you would like to donate, you can still do so. The donation form is available on the school website or from the School Office. We hope to see the new books in the classrooms soon.

We hope that all those who came to the Family School Disco before half term enjoyed the evening. The event was a sell out and we raised £1,200! Our thanks go to DJ Katie (aka Lucy Larkin's mummy) and to Hannah from Boogie Pumps who donated her time to teach us some new dance moves (www.boogiepumps.co.uk). Ingrid Timmerman (www.ingridtimmerman.com) took some fabulous photos in the Photo Booth. If you ordered any photos, they are ready for collection from the School Office.

Thank you to all those who "philled" a bag on Thursday. We will let you know how much we raised.

FOPS Meeting - 12 November 2014

The next FOPS meeting will take place on Wednesday 12 November 2014 at 8pm in the staff room. All parents are very welcome. The main topic for discussion will the Christmas Fair. Please come along if you would like to get involved.

iQ Christmas Cards

If you ordered iQ Christmas cards in your child's design, you will receive them in your child's book bag this week.

Northbrook gift wrap
Northbrook orders have now arrived and are ready for collection from the school office.

Yellow Moon catalogues

The Christmas edition of the catalogue will be in book bags shortly. Look out for winter and Christmas craft and gift ideas, with even more products available online. Purchases generate commission for FOPS as long as orders quote our source code, which is SPE 1101. This is also shown on the front of the catalogue. Please note that orders are made directly to Yellow Moon and not via FOPS.

Lost: Sam Hill-Price, Walnut Class, has lost his Mandela fleece (last seen at St Catherine’s when Sam was having a swimming lesson).
