Outdoor Working Party, Saturday 19 July, 10.30 am

The date for the working party has been changed to next Saturday 19 July (unfortunately we had no volunteers for this Saturday 12th). If you could help with some gardening at the Wild Place and the school outdoor areas please contact Hannah (Beech Class) hannahb@pewleydown.surrey.sch.uk.

Whole School Photo

You should have received an order form for the whole school photo today (Year 2 will have theirs on Monday). If you would like to order a copy please return the completed form by Monday 21 July. The photos will be ready for collection in September.

Golden Boot
Well done to everyone for taking part in The Golden Boot competition. Lots of children tried walking, scooting, biking or car sharing and the competition for which class had the most children coming to school in a 'green way' was very exciting. The results were very close indeed! Well done to Year 2 who have won the Golden Boot this year. Chestnut had 66% and Walnut had 64% of their children coming to school in a 'green way' closely followed by Willow Class with 63%. Thank you to everyone for taking part so well.

School Lunches in September

As you may know, from September school lunches will be free for all children at infant school. Obviously we do need to have an approximate idea of numbers of children that will be having a school lunch. Please would you therefore complete the slip coming home on Monday if your child will be having a packed lunch in September.

FOPS News

Class Representatives & FOPS Committee - next academic year
I am sure you will all agree that your class reps have done a fantastic job this year. Now you know which class your child is in next year, perhaps you might consider taking on the role of class rep next year. If you would like to know more about what the role involves or volunteer your services, please speak to your current class rep or Emily Bourke.

We are also looking for parents to join the FOPS committee next year (including a new Chairperson and Secretary). If you would like to get involved there are a number of roles which need filling - some big, some small - please speak to Emily Bourke.

Y1 Pedometers

Thank you if you have returned both the pedometer and the form. If you cannot find the pedometer please could you send in £6.50 so we can replace it. If you haven’t sent in the form, please can you do so as soon as possible. We have the figures for Friday so don't worry about that.

Ballet Club, Thursday 17 July

There will be a ballet show for parents next Thursday afternoon at 3:30pm.
